I am someone who has tried both home tuition and the classroom situation at the local library. Believe me there is no contest as learning at home on your own computer with an excellent tutor whose only focus is teaching you is surely better for both of you. I became aware of Janie when a leaflet came through our door providing details about learning computing at home. I contacted Janie and she came along for a 1 hour session which i thought would be enough but we soon changed to 2 hours which which is far better. Janie is an excellent tutor who I find extremely helpful. She has great patience and the ideal temprament to be a tutor. I could use the internet in a limited manner (ordering books and cds from Amazon)but before Janie's first visit I had never sent an email. That soon changed and i now have a network of contacts. I have had 15 lessons so as you can imagine we have cover a great deal including digital photography,word processing and currently spreadsheets. I have also learned how to remove threats and many other things that would take too long to go through. I would like to continue being tutored by Janie for a while yet because i feel there is still plenty of things to learn and i honestly think i could not have a better tutor. Kevin Morgan

Before seeing Janie's advert I had tried a couple of I.T. courses. By the time the tutor got round to fixing all the mistakes the class had made it was time to go home. I learned nothing and gave up. I felt so stupid. My kids can do everything and didn't know how to help me.
Since I started with Janie only three lessons so far I can email, surf, ebay, open a document and a few other things I won't bore you with.
Janie has been a godsend to me
she is so patient (she needs to be) and one on one you get
so much more done in the privacy of your own home. Any problems you can email her.

is the best. I have a long way to go but with Janie's help I know I will get there.

My name is Barbara, I heard about Janies home training programme through a friend, gave her a call and set up a time to meet and start my programme, this has been ideal for me as I am a single mum of two young children, working part time, Janie comes to me on an afternoon that suits me when the children are at school, I have learnt basic word processing, spreadsheets and how to email and keep in touch with my sister in Canada, I have even been able to send and receive photographs! next week she is setting me up with my own web cam and I am so excited that I will be able to see and speak to my sister and my nephews and nieces. I told my boss I was doing this training and he has mentioned the possibility of moving into admin with my new skills. I cannot recommend Janie enough, she is so easy to work with (and I am not the quickest of learners), she has a natural way of explaining complex things that make them so simple to understand. If you want to use this for furthering your career or just personal use it is perfect and very affordable!
